Following on from the England Netball, Black Lives Matter ‘Here to Listen’ Forums, West Yorkshire Netball held its own Forum with our Black and Minority Ethnic members. We wanted to hear about the experiences of women within our own county, so we could look to plan for the future.
During the Forum we heard about so many different experiences, which were incredibly powerful and we can’t thank everyone who took part enough. Hearing about these experiences has strengthened our commitment to make changes. We will continue to listen, learn and develop our plans through ongoing feedback to check and challenge the progress being made. To show that we are still ‘Here to Listen’, one of our first steps has been to set up a designated email, so we can continue to listen and support members from our Black & Minority Ethnic communities. [email protected] The purpose of this email is to be:
Over the coming months, the county will be looking at how we, along with support and advise from England Netball and others, can continue to implement further changes.
